Winifred McNeill

Winifred McNeill has exhibited her work widely, including the Hun Gallery, New York City, the MDH Gallery, New York City; the Ho Gallery, Seoul, Korea; the Museum of Modern Art, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; The Montclair Museum, Montclair, NJ; the Jersey City Museum, Jersey City, NJ; The Garage, Jersey City; Black Cat Gallery, San Francisco; Aljira, Newark, NJ; and the Michael Himovitz Gallery, Sacramento, CA. Fellowships and Awards include the New Jersey Arts Annual; Finalist: Sculpture, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation / National Endowment for the Arts (1995); New Jersey Printmaking Fellowship, (1995); and a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Award; Graphics (1993.)

Ms. McNeill’s work is in the following collections: The Newark Public Library; The Zimmerli Art Museum; The New Jersey State Museum; The New Jersey State Council on the Arts; The Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper and Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. Her recent limited edition letterpress book The Helen Fragments, published by Peter Koch Press is in the following collections: New York Public Library; The Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley; San Francisco Public Library/Arts of the Book Collection; University of Delaware Rare Books and Special Collections; Columbia University Rare Books Department; The Clark Library at UCLA; Stanford University Library, Gunst Collection; UC Irvine Special Collections; The University of Nevada Reno, Special Collection; Vanderbilt University Library and New Jersey City University.

Associate Professor and former Chair of the Art Department at New Jersey City University, Ms. McNeill received her BFA from Boston University and her MFA from Queens College, CUNY.
